Meet Our Executive Director

Trudy HendricksTrudy Hendricks - Executive Director

As Executive Director of Desert Hills since March of 2007, Trudy manages her community with the vision that quality of care and quality of life should be able to coexist without compromising each other.  Trudy is committed to doing things with integrity and providing the best possible care to her residents – and she’s always looking for new and better ways to do things.  Trudy is constantly empowering her staff to think outside the box when it comes to providing the best in senior care and encouraging them to simply enjoy every single moment with the residents.  As soon as you meet Trudy, it’s obvious that she truly loves her job and the difference she makes in seniors’ lives every day.

One of my favorite things about my job is hearing the life stories of all of the residents in my care.  I love being able to sit with our residents and share memories and smiles…it helps to validate who they are.  It’s so important that the essence of who our residents are be kept alive.

Trudy began her career in healthcare as a nurse’s aide on the midnight shift at a skilled nursing facility and gradually worked her way up through the ranks to become an Activity Coordinator then Assisted Living Director before taking on the position of Executive Director at Desert Hills.  Trudy is also a former co-recipient of the Valley Forge Award for Excellence in a community project.

Trudy lives in San Jacinto with her husband and her youngest of two daughters.
