John Gabor - Executive Director

As newly appointed Executive Director & Administrator of Cascades of the Sierra, John Gabor is responsible for the overall management and regulation of this developing community. He is excited to be part of a team that is committed to creating a distinctive community that will provide high-quality, individualized care to each and every resident.

John joins the Cascade family with a diverse and notable career. He is a retired US Navy Captain and Vietnam Veteran. John has gained valuable knowledge and experience through working various management positions, including Director & Administrator at a top senior living community. He currently serves on the Nevada State Assisted Living Advisory Council and is a member of the Nevada Alzheimer’s Association Education Committee. John has a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from the US Naval Academy and an MBA in Logistics from Michigan State University. He lives with his wife Margie and has two sons, Duane and Keith.

It is truly a privilege to know that I have been presented with this rare opportunity to be part of a team that will soon make Cascades of the Sierra a very special community. It will be special indeed because it will be the flagship community of our company. It will be the best in northern Nevada….a very special place for very special residents.
